We’re thrilled to share the exciting news with you: A brand-new restaurant is being built in Familypark!
Season 2025New Restaurant Experience
Construction for our new restaurant begins on September 2nd! The old Filippo Restaurant will make way for an exciting new restaurant with a medieval design, set to open in summer 2025. During the construction period, we unfortunately have to temporarily close a few attractions: the Dragon Ride (Drachenbahn), Turtle Carousel (Schildkrötenkarussell), Comet (Komet), and the Swamp Castle (Sumpfburg) will be out of operation starting September 2nd. We’ll do our best to ensure that the construction doesn’t affect your experience at Familypark.
Stay tuned – we’re excited about the new restaurant!

Why is the old Filippo Restaurant being demolished?
The new construction became necessary because the current “Filippo Restaurant” is no longer up-to-date for guests or optimal operation and can’t accommodate the increasing number of visitors with enough seating. The new restaurant will be much larger, with over 700 square meters of space and a spacious terrace, offering room for an open self-service concept. Additionally, there will be an indoor kid’s play area, a nursing room and a separate room for corporate events.

What can I expect from the new restaurant?
The new restaurant in the theme world “Erlebnisburg” will be designed in the style of a medieval castle, transporting you into a medieval world with its atmospheric theming both indoors and outdoors. With over 260 indoor and 220 outdoor seats, it will offer plenty of space for a pleasant lunch in a unique setting starting in summer 2025.
-
Will the construction affect the Halloween event in 2024?
No, during the popular Halloween event (October 25 – November 3), construction will be paused to ensure an uninterrupted experience for you. Additional food stations will be set up to take care of your needs.
